At the Post Office/A la poste

This morning at the local Post Office, I began conversing with a local French man in French. During our conversation he asked me if I've ever heard of John Winslow Irving, a writer in the state of New Hampshire in the United States. Apparently, this French man has read two of John Irving's books titled, "The Hotel New Hampshire"(1981) and "The World According to Garp"(1978), which were translated into French. Consequently, when I later returned to the library, I googled "John Winslow Irving" on the internet and found lots of information about him, as a well-known novelist, etc.

Apparemment, ce Français a lu deux livres de John Irving intitulés, "The Hotel New Hampshire"(1981) and "The World According to Garp"(1978), qui ont été traduits en français.
